Entrepreneuial education and formation of competencies related to damage assessment and risk management

Abstract

The article deals with the issues of training in entrepreneurial education, the role of damage assessment and risk management in the formation of the competencies of future entrepreneurs. The analysis of domestic and foreign approaches to the formation of basic entrepreneurial competencies. The paper emphasizes the importance of the entrepreneur's ability to analyze and manage risks, including from external anthropogenic and natural impacts. The analysis confirmed that an important component of the educational programs of entrepreneurial education are the disciplines related to damage assessment and risk management in entrepreneurial activity. The article contains the study of educational programs of bachelor and master's degree programs of 55 leading Russian Universities that provide training in the areas of «Economics», «Management» and «Innovation». The study revealed a low indicator of the average proportion of subjects forming competence in the field of damage assessment and risk management, as well as the advantages of educational programs in the direction of «Economy» in the study of these issues. The article raises the problem of methodological support of disciplines on damage assessment and risk management, as well as describes the previously conducted study on the assessment of comprehensive damage, which was conducted in 2016-2017. In the course of the previous study, for the first time the definition, classification and methodology of comprehensive fire damage assessment, taking into account the assessment of indirect economic, socioeconomic and environmental - economic damage, was proposed. The developed methodology will enable to train future entrepreneurs to the issues of damage assessment and risk management.
