В статье проводится исследование перспектив формирования валютных союзов, которые, учитывая набирающие силу тенденции развития процессов глобализации и международ- ной экономической интеграции, в ближайшей перспективе могут обострить конкуренцию за право денежной эмиссии во всех регионах мира. Отмечается, что при имеющихся недостатках отказа от национальных валют в пользу единой валюты вхождение в ва- лютную зону для многих стран может оказаться единственным способом противостоять глобализации и поддержать конкурентоспособность региональной экономики.
This paper presents the research of the prospects of monetary unions, which would be intensify the competition for the right of money issue in regions all of the World taking into account growing globalization trend and international economic integration. It is noted that despite the disadvantages of losing national currencies in favor of a single one, currency integration may be the only way to confront globalization and to keep up the competitiveness of regional economies.
